Nordean

Australian DJ/Producer, Nordean, is a 24 year-‐old music prodigy. Recognized abroad for his talent, he has finally set his sites on making his mark on home shores as a DJ and Producer.

Enticed by the melodic, big room House sounds of Dirty South, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Eric Prydz at just 16 years of age; his heart-felt devotion to dance music was both swift and profound. Playing his first DJ set a year later, his obvious passion and skills quickly earned him regular appearances in a broad selection of Australia’s premier club booths (including Platinum QLD, Q Bar MELB, Billboards MELB, Eve MELB, Seven MELB and Motel MELB) and exclusive, top-‐shelf event lineups (including parties for Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Kink, Hed Kandi and Daydream). Supporting for huge international DJs including Pete Tong, Dirty South, Tv Rock, Adam K, Moguai, Grum, Spencer Parker, Julie McKnight and more.

Effortlessly blending upfront House sounds from the full spectrum of the genre’s palette, Nordean thrives on crafting sets that capture a dancefloor’s imagination, defy its expectation and redefine its very experience. In testament to the sheer quality of his track selection and skillful ear, leading Australian DJ, Grant Smillie (TV Rock), engaged his services to program the nation’s biggest EDM radio show, ‘NovaNation’ on NovaFM, for four massive years…

As impressive as Nordean’s DJ achievements are, they can’t compare with his studio accomplishments. Blessed with the inspiration and encouragement of his good mate, Dirty South, Nordean turned his hand to Production in 2007 and the rest, as they say, is history…

Armed with an intimate knowledge of machines that go ‘waaah’, and equipped with a gift for musical theory and appreciation, Nordean has remixed for the likes of Dirty South, D. Ramirez, Paul Harris, Tv Rock and Funkerman just to name a few. His remixes quickly found their way onto an array of world-renowned labels (including Toolroom, Vicious, Neon, Ministry Of Sound & Azuli) and into the tracklistings of top-selling compilations for several leading dance brands (including Ministry of Sound Sessions, Pacha, Onelove and Vinyl Pusher).

Nordean’s remix of Dirty South’s ‘D10’ that heralded a new level of success and recognition. Supported by a who’s who of the world’s leading tastemakers (including Dirty South and TV Rock – to name but a few) and globally championed by Pete Tong and Dave Spoon via their coveted BBC Radio One shows; this clever, storming rework set download sites ablaze and was widely regarded as one of 2008’s classics. 2009 seen Nordean’s remix of Todd Watson’s ‘The World As We Know It’ make its way on Dirty South’s Ministry Of Sound Sessions Six disc, which reached platinum sales.

Shhhh! Australia’s best kept EDM secret is about to be let out … stay tuned.
